Back in Alabama

I travel alot but though it would be fun to just post a couple things from my down time in Alabama. I recently worked as part of the security team for Con Kasterborous 2014, which is a Doctor Who convention. Now normally in the  posts I take all the pictures in them but since I was technically working at the time I didn't take all of these but I'm in some of the photos so obviously I was there.
Crowd control at pre-registration. It started off rough but once we got in a rhythm everything was easy. This photo was taken during the easy times.

This is Sylvester McCoy who was the 7th Doctor Who as well as Radagast the Brown in the Hobbit movie. To the right of him is Lady Soliloque author of Enoch the Traveler which is being turned into a television series. To the left of Sylvester in black is me because this was the night before the Con for VIPs only and we hadn't been given our security shirts yet
This is a staff pic we got to take with Sylvester McCoy on the last day. He's a very talented guy and I enjoyed working security for him
                                                                         The Tardis

                                                                          A Dalek

I asked to take this pic with Lady Soliloque because she's one of the nicest people ever

Oklahoma University Library 2014

Had very little time to look at these archives less than 15 minutes so I took pictures of what I could get. There was alot of renovation going on and alot wasn't available. I'm told however I may be able to enter the vault in the fall to see much more.

The above picture is a book by Galileo that was personally owned by Galileo himself in 1632. That is actually Galileo's handwriting in top left corner. He made several notes in this book.

A closer pic of Galileo's notes
a little less blurry

The next few pics are from a biography of Queen Elizabeth written in 1577

The next couple are from a second edition publishing of the works or William Shakespeare published in 1632 only 16 years after his death
